PLEASE READ THESE THROUGHLY BEFORE EMAILING US. WE HAVE GONE TO GREAT LENGTHS TO HAVE ANSWERS TO ALL THE QUESTIONS WE HAVE TYPICALLY RECEIVED IN THE PAST.

I have never worked out before and/or I have injuries and/or I am extremely overweight. Can I still join this boot camp?

Certainly! GGR Health and Fitness specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level…at the same time. We can have a 65 year old with arthritic joints and a 25 year old with 5% body fat working out in the same group and both be challenged at their own level. You can be underweight, very overweight or obese, have had surgery, etc. As long as your doctor has ok’d you doing some form of exercise, you are ok to register. The registration forms ask if you have any conditions, so once you hand it in, we are then aware of your conditions and can work with them during the workouts.

For some reason, we still get emails from people who ask if they can participate because they are overweight or have an injury. The answer will still be yes if you email us : )

The only instance (and we are not joking) that there might be an issue, is if you are missing a limb. In that case we would ask you to email us so we can discuss what you can/cannot do. Other than that, the answer is an automatic yes because inclusion is what our workouts are all about.

I am completely computer illiterate and do not know how to use email or the internet. Can you mail me your announcements, purchase my equipment for me, call me with reminders, etc?

Our program is deeply intertwined with the internet. We send all announcements via email rather frequently as well as any relevant information and forms. To do otherwise would mean we would need to hire someone to do that as it is very time consuming, and that cost would translate to a higher price of services for you. We do not feel that is fair to almost everyone else in the group who has no issue using their email. Therefore, if you cannot order the equipment online or go to a store yourself, or if you cannot check your email for announcements, this is probably not the program for you.

Who will be coaching me?

Your coached will be GGR approved trainers who are all nationally certified and go through a rigorous training process. Primarily, BJ Gaddour, the founder of GGR Health and Fitness and Naomi Nazario, The Director of Operations will be coaching the boot camp. Some of you may have seen them Monday mornings on TMJ4’s The Morning Blend where they have a weekly fitness segment or on TMJ4’s Special Assignment!

How long is each session? How many sessions are there per week?

Each session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. We approximately have 10 minutes of warm up, 20 minutes of resistance training and 10 minutes of cool down. We hold three sessions a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Our camps are also in 4, 5 or 6-week increments. Please see the boot camp calendar to see how long the next boot camp is.

How many weeks is each Boot Camp?

Our camps are 4-6 weeks long. The length of the boot camp depends on the time of year. You can see how long the next Boot Camp is by looking at the calendar on the registration form and on the schedule page. We base our boot camp’s yearly schedule on convenience, so most breaks are around big holidays and common vacation times.

What times are the Boot Camps offered? Can I go between times?

We offer and early morning class (6-7 am) and a early evening class (5:30-6:30 pm).

For your convenience you can go to whichever time works for you on a particular day. We ask that you circle a time on the registration as the most likely time for you to come so we can get a general idea of attendance.

You also may only attend one workout a day. You would likely burn out if you tried otherwise, and we would recommend against it, but if you really insisted on this, you would have to pay for 2 boot camps.

What is the cost of a Boot Camp?

A 4-week Boot Camp is $240, a 5-week Boot Camp is $300 and a 6-week Boot Camp is $360. That breaks down to $20 per workout!

Will I learn about nutrition?

Any good fitness professional knows that true fitness is achieved by not only great workouts, but also great nutrition. We here at GGR know that all too well as we have our own trademarked nutrition system that has helped our clients loose thousands of pounds. During our free seminar (date tba at the start of every new phase/boot camp) we will give you the tools to get started on the right track towards a complete health and fitness transformation.

What do I bring to the camp?

You will need a mat or long towel for floor exercises, flex bands and/or a pair of dumbbells (10-15lbs females, 20-30lbs, males) a foam roll and a tennis ball. These are one-time investments that you will be able to use at every camp. We provide the proper suppliers for these pieces of equipment for your convenience, just

If you are participating in the trial week it is your decision if you want to go ahead and purchase the equipment right away. You may already own some pieces which is great and bring that stuff right away. If you want to wait a week to see if you like the program before you purchase, you may, but we cannot guarantee that we will have equipment for you there or that people will be willing to share their equipment with you.

Where are the boot camps held?

Our Boot Camps are held at the Grand Hall at the Hide House in Bayview. We also may do some outdoor workouts during the warmer months in the outdoor greenspace.

When I think boot camp, I think of a drill sergeant screaming in my ear. Is this the style of training I will undergo?

When we refer to “boot camps”, we mean high physical intensity and group training. What we don’t mean is being aggressive or demeaning in any way. We will push you, but never through intimidation. As we get to know our clients, we learn what type of encouragement each individual prefers and try our best to cater to that. For some, that may be a pat on the shoulder, for others that may mean a little tough love ; ).

What is your refund policy?

If you notify us prior to the camp’s start date, you will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. If it is after a camp has started, we can only credit you for a future boot camp of the same duration. The credit is non-transferable. There are no exceptions.

What do I wear to the boot camps?

Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Please do not wear anything too baggy, as it makes it difficult for trainers to see and correct your body movements. Also wear sneakers with good support, laces (not velcro) and soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles).

Great! How do I sign up/register?

Registration is easy!

If this is your first time registering:

Go to the first time registration page and follow steps 1-3!

If you have trained at our boot camps before:

All you have to do is go to the returning registration page and pay for your boot camp!

Can I join during the middle of a boot camp?

After the first week of boot camp, you will be unable to join until the start of the next boot camp. The reason for this is the first week is used to instruct new members and get them into the flow. Once we have the ball rolling, it really slows the class down to bring in new people. Showing new people the exercises also takes attention away from those who have started on the original date. What you can do in the meantime is go to www.workoutmuse.com and sign up for workouts you can do on your own until the next phase of boot camp.
